I Was Wrong -- Thank you SOPD doctors and nurses in Segamat Hospital

It has been more than a year since I last updated my blog. Too busy? Too lazy I guess. Hoho. What triggers me to write again today is the SOPD doctors and nurses in Segamat Hospital. Last 3 months I had my appendectomy done. It was a real minor operation. So, it won't be the highlight of the post. What grabbed my attention was the treatment that I received from the doctors and the nurses there. The doctors were so respectful and the nurses were soooo sweet and friendly. I know some might think that it is normal, but it is not for me.

Why do I really appreciate them??

1) Mind you, this is a government hospital. It's nothing if you receive such treatment from private hospitals because u pay them and they take care of you. But these people who I am talking about are getting paid by the government. Even if they are not nice to you, they will still get their payment.

2) I've always had bad perception on government doctors and nurses because there a lot of people that I know went through bad experience with them. But I came to realize that as time goes on, things have changed. A LOT!

Why do I write this acknowledgement after 3 months?

1) When I was discharged, I had assignments waiting for me. Plus, it was like 2-3 weeks before my final exam. So, I didn't really have much time I guess. (Actually I was just lazy! :P)

2) I went for my check up yesterday and the doctor was one of the doctors in charge when I was warded. So, it kinda reminiscing the old memories laaa. Hehehehe ;)

Above everything, I just want to say Alhamdulillah. Thank you Allah for giving me the chance to meet these nice people and....

Thank you SOPD doctors and nurses in Segamat Hospital for not making my 3 days there miserable. ;)

Happy Birthday Sayang!

Assalamualaikum and a very good day dear readers.

Last 5th February was my sister's big day!! Hoyeahh. Alhamdulillah. :)

She's my youngest sister and she is now officially 13 years +  9 days. Even though she's the youngest in the family, i've got to admit that she is more "self-sufficing" (im not sure if this is the right term) than most of my siblings (especially me! ) Let me give you a few examples to proof my words.

NUMBER 1

At the age of 12, she can already iron her shawl and my dad's shirt on her own.

At the age of 17, I never ironed a single piece of cloth

NUMBER2

At the age of  6, she can prepare herself (took bath and put on clothes) to go to kindergarten

At the age of 11, my brother will only get off the bed after my dad carried him pickaback from the room untll the bathroom (with a musical accompaniment)

NUMBER3

At the age of 12, she can do hand sewing. she can sew beads too.

At the age of 20, I can't even sew my torn pants

and the list goes on and on.. I just couldn't think of more examples. But trust me, there's a lot more things that she can do better than us!

So, for that, I'd love to give a salute to my beloved sister Yain sayang!! She has been a very outstandingly awesome sister for me all these while. She helped me a lot whenever I'm home. She'll always be the one to bring me water whenever I'm thirsty. She will also bring comb, cotton buds, powder, panadol, vicks etc for me. (Okay, maybe I bully her a lot. hahaha.)  But, seriously, she's a good sister, and a good daughter as well. Even though she's just a kid, she is a very understanding girl. On the top of that, she is just GREAT!

Before I end this entry, I just want to tell you that up till now I couldn't believe that my youngest sister is already in her secondary school. Ohmai! In our (my family) eyes, she is and will always be a small kid. Because she's the youngest!! Hahahaha. This reminds me of one of my closest friends. He told me that his father always treats him like a small kid even until now when he is about to reach 21. Hahaha. I guess that's the specialty of  the youngest child in every family.  YOU ARE ALWAYS GONNA BE A KID!! :)

So, my dear Yayin, angah just wants you to know that im very very glad that Allah gives me you as my sister. I couldn't have hoped for a better one.

ANGAH LOVES YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCHHHHHHH!!
Muaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.. :))

p/s : to my other sibs, I do love you guys a lot too!! jangan jeles pulok! hahaha :))

Social Networks

Assalamualaikum and a very good day dear readers.

Most of us do have our own social networks aite? What are the things that you always post in your social networks? As for me, I usually post my happy feelings, the truth (usually flaws) of our government and my opinion about it, quran/ hadith verses, advices etc.

I know very well that not all people enjoy reading my statuses in my social networks especially when it comes to political issues. Well guys, I'm just trying to enlighten some facts that we as citizens of the country should know, so that we won't be cheated over and over again. (I don't know if any of you guys love to be cheated)

In this post, I'd like to point out 3 things that I personally do not enjoy reading/ seeing in social networks :

1. Curses.Your anger towards your friends/family members are not meant to be shared in your social networks. Seriously, if you are not satisfied, why don't you just confront them. You might hurt others with your words because they wouldn't know whom are you pointing your anger at. It's not professional anyway.

IM ANGRY!! STAY AWAY FROM ME!!

p/s : I love it when people share their happiness in their social networks. Sedap mata memandang. But please, do not brag. You might end up annoying people. hehehe.

2.  The pictures of foods that you had eaten. Be it for your breakfast/ lunch/ dinner etc. Not all your social networks' friends can afford those foods. Can you imagine them drooling over those pictures without having the chance to taste them?

This is what I had for dinner!! Yeah, smell them :)

3. Your romantic relationship with your partner. Please. You don't have to let the whole world to see your "intimacy" by having romantic conversations in your social networks (unless you are married).

I love you. Let the whole world know baby..

Okay. That's all for now. Honestly, before this, I did show my anger in fb (but I never cursed I think :P  ). I also did post a few pictures of foods. I regretted doing those things. Thus, I come out with this. So, this post is actually a reminder to myself. Well, you can follow it if you like. Hehehe. But, the 3rd one, I never did. If I did, it was with my family members which I think is okay. I mean, after all, they are my family members. Mahram tuuu. hehehe :)

P/S :Don't kill me. This is my personal opinion. Everybody has their own aite. You may not agree with me. It doesn't matter. :)

Power vs Powerless

I have the POWER! so, just shut up and listen!!

One fine afternoon...

Abu   : Ali, can you accompany me to the police station after this.

Ali      : Erkk. But why?

Boss   : What kind of question is that. Don't you know that Amat threatened me yesterday. He
said he'll put a bomb in my car.

Ali      : Like seriously? I thought that was a joke. I mean, he mentioned that in the
conversation that he had with you in facebook.

Abu   : So what. Just because it was mentioned in facebook, you think it is not serious?

Ali      : But he ended his so-called "threat" with "hahahaha". I mean, urm, I just couldn't see
              the seriousness there.

Abu    : I don't care. I still feel insecure.

Ali       : I see. I guess we need to bring Amat along then.

Abu     : Hahahaha. You are so lame. You don't have to bring the criminal along with you to
              lodge a police report.

Ali        : My dear "intelligent" friend, I'm taking him as a victim here. Not a criminal.

Abu      : What kind of joke is this?

Ali        :  Well, I think Amat should feel insecure too.

Abu      : Why??

Ali         : Because his "threat" was to answer your " I'll kill you if you come late to the office
tomorrow." statement. You don't even put "hahahaha" in the end of your
                statement.

Abu       : Now, this is funny!! Hahahaha. Don't you even dream to do that.

Ali         : Give me ONE concrete reason for that statement.

Abu      : Simply because I know people with power. Hence, I have the POWER. And Amat is
just a poor POWERLESS guy! In this country, people with power rule. And for those
powerless ones, well, you guyscan just get ready to be crushed anytime and anywhere
              we like.

Ali         :   ............................ *sigh*

You've got to listen to me even when I'm bullshitting!

Where are you?

Where do I find you?
I've tried searching for you
Everywhere
Are you here
With me?
Are you there
With them?

If only you are visible

I Know, I Ignore

I know,
I am no blind,
I just ignore,
I need more time.

I know,
I'm hurt,
I just ignore,
I'm tired.

It Won't Last Forever

Assalamualaikum and a very good day dear readers ;)

These few days, I have been observing my friends' statuses in Facebook, Twitter as well as their posts in the blogs. Some sounded happy, some angry, some were sad and there were also some that sounded as if the writers have lose their faiths. In contrary, I myself did not really update my status in any of my social networks these 2-3 days because people say, "the lesser we talk the lesser mistakes we would possibly make." Maybe you will understand what I'm talking about if you have read my previous post entitled Thank You. Honestly there were times that I felt like posting something, but considering that it might hurt the other party, I decided not to do so. And yeah..I'm quite proud with myself that I managed to do so. (Okay2, I know it's not even 1 week yet, but I least I'm trying. Kan3?? Hehehehe )

Yeay!! I made it!! xD

Now, I'm going off track. Ngeee. :)

Okay, back to the topic, reading all these made me realize something. Sometimes we worry too much about the small things that happened in our lives. Of course "we" here includes ME as well. Hehehehe. ;)

But, Prophet (S.A.W) PBUH once said that:

"The world is just like a drop of water from the ocean and the ocean is the hereafter"

See...

So, after reading this I realize that we (including me) should not get carried away with all the things that are happening in this world (be it good or be it bad). Oppsss. I am NOT asking you guys to be an ignorant. No..No..No.. What I'm trying to say here is, if something bad happens to us, we should accept it with our full heart (redha) because it won't last forever people. We will all die one day. But there, in 'akhirat', yeah that one IS INDEED EVER LASTING. In addition, "Nothing happens without Allah's permission" (At-Thagaabun 64:11). The same goes if good things happen to us. We must remember that they won't last long. So, do not forget Allah. Be grateful and act modestly because Allah S.W.T do not only test us through pain but also comfort.

I think that's all for now and I truly hope that this entry would at least help 1 or 2 of you to change your perceptions and way of thinking about life. The point is, DO NOT ever go against Allah, and you'll be safe! InsyaAllah ;)

Yes, Allah ALWAYS knows the BEST! ;)

Thank You ;)

Assalamualaikum and good evening dear readers ;)

This entry is simply written to thank you. Yes you who made me realize something. You woke me up and made me realize that I did not WALK my TALK. No, I did not. I put up a lot of hadiths and verses from Al-Quran in Facebook and Twitter yet I did not practice them. When I get emotional (especially due to political issues) I will simply write emotional statuses. You made me realize that the Prophet S.A.W (PBUH) spread his "dakwah" through a soft way that he eventually successfully soften a lot of hearts. That's how it should be. Thus, from now on, I will try not to get emotional upon any issues. InsyAllah. Because when we are emotional, we become irrational. Well, nobody would want to listen from irrational people aite? ;)

However, as a normal human being, the tendency for me to repeat my mistakes is VERY HIGH. Therefore, I would really appreciate if any of you who feel that I am doing something wrong to let me know. Sometimes I just don't realize. Do remind me dear friends. Thank You. Hugs and kisses ;)

p/s: to you-know-who-you-are : If you happen to read this, I just want you to know that AGAIN, the talk that we had last 2 days was full of benefits (at least for me). So, thanks a lot. Feel free to advise me whenever I am wrong. Love you. ;)

So teacher, are we living in a democratic country?

Assalamualaikum and good evening dear readers.

As a teacher-to-be, I always imagine all kind of weird and tough questions that my students might ask me in the future. Well, the students nowadays are very creative in asking questions you see. So I feel that I need to have early preparation. And yesterday, a question struck my mind and I truly have NO exact answer for it. So I wonder if my student will ask me the same question. How should I answer them. Below is the situation that I might face:

ME            : Okay class, today we are learning about the ruling systems in countries around
                     the world.

STUDENT : What are they teacher?

ME             : They are democracy system, autocracy system, republic system and many more.
We'll go through one by one ya?

STUDENT : Okay. So what is democracy system teacher?

ME             : Basically it is a system where the public is given full right to choose their leader
and they have an equal say in the decisions that affect their lives.

STUDENT : So what about our country teacher? Are we living in a democratic country?

ME             : .....................

Now, tell me what should I answer? Yeah right, I might simply answer "YES, WE ARE". But what if they come across the pictures below?

I have NO SAY on all of these pictures because they say a government servant or even a government servant-to-be cannot go against the government. And that's how democratic we are ;)

Hey Tiger!

STOP looking too high of yourself eh!
Hey Tiger!
You are such a liar
You are a cheater
Don't you pity your follower?

Hey Tiger!
You don't have any fear
Cause you think you are superior
And others are inferior

But
Hey you cruel Tiger!
Don't you remember
That you too have a leader
And once HE shows HIS power
You are no more than just the dusty powder

Rasulullah (SAW) said: “Allah does not punish the individuals for the sins of the community until they see the evil spreading among themselves, and while they have the power to stop it, do not do so.” (Ahmad) Ibn Taimiyyah said: “This is why those who are in authority are of two groups: the scholars and the rulers. If they are upright, the people will be upright; if they are corrupt, the people will be corrupt.”

You Are Not Punctual! Oprah said it's RUDE!

Mamat, Momot and Mumut are friends. One fine day, they held a function in Mamat's house to celebrate their job promotions. Momot was already there with Mamat before the function started. However, Mumut was quite late.  Here goes the conversation between these three friends.

MAMAT: Gosh! Where is Mumut? The function is about to start and he is still not here!

MOMOT : Chill Mamat. It's only 8.35 p.m now. Our guests will only be here at 9.00 or maybe later than that.

MAMAT : Ahhh.. He is always like this. He is late all the time.

*Meanwhile, the Isya' athan was heard.

MOMOT : Ouh, it's already Isya'. Let's pray first Mamat.

MAMAT : Erkk.. Never mind, Isya's period is long. I'm all dressed up now. So, I'll pray later after the function ended.

MOMOT : Ermm.. Okay then.

*30 minutes later, Mumut arrived at Mamat's house. Mamat was quite pissed off already at that time.

MAMAT : Hey, Mumut! Why are you late??

MUMUT : I"m truly sorry. I had to send my mum to the clinic just now and then when I was on my way here, I got stuck in the jam. Please forgive me buddy.

MAMAT : Excuses! You have never been on time. You are not punctual! Oprah said it's rude. Because you make people wait for you. Do have some respect towards people Mumut.

MOMOT : So...you called him rude because he wasn't punctual and he made you wait for him. I see.. Erm.. if that's the case, what should I call you for making Allah wait for you to perform your prayer? He's waiting for you since 30 minutes ago and you said it's okay, you'll perform your prayer after the function ended. Do you have any answer for that Mamat??

MAMAT : Errrr.... (speechless)

Moral of the story : It is indeed very true that making people wait for you with no strong reason is RUDE, but making Allah wait for you is even worse. How can you expect Allah to grant all your wishes when you are being RUDE towards Him?
I TOLD YOU!!

TO THINK POSITIVELY IS DEFINITELY NOT EASY BUT CERTAINLY WORTH IT!

Assalamualaikum and a very good day dear readers.

Looking at the title of the entry, yeah, it sounds too cliche and boring. But wait, read it first and you shall not regret.  InshaAllah ;)

Why people always talk about POSITIVE THINKING all the time?
What is so special about THINKING POSITIVELY?
Will POSITIVE MIND change anything?

The answer is an absolute YES!
Now I will tell you why.

I used to be a very sensitive girl (actually I still am, but I'm in my way to change ^_^ ). Thus, I got hurt over trifles nearly everyday. I used to feel terribly sad when:

-people don't reply my sms
-people don't answer my calls
-people don't talk to me as they used to
-people ignore my 'buzz' in YM/Skype/FB message
-people don't really listen to me
-people don't smile at me
-my parents raise their voice at me
-the teachers/lecturers don't have any eye contact with me while teaching
......and the list goes on and on.

You don't believe me? Well, you should because that is the truth. When such situations occur, I will start to think like this:

-people don't reply my sms because they are annoyed with me
-people don't answer my calls because they have found better friends
-people don't talk to me as they used to because they already get bored with me
-people ignore my 'buzz' in YM/Skype/FB message because I have been bugging them a lot!
-people don't really listen to me because they are not interested to listen to me anymore
-people don't smile at me because they hate me
-my parents raise their voice at me because they don't love me
-the teachers/lecturers don't have any eye contact with me while teaching because I am not their preferred student

Didn't that sound ridiculous? All these while, I never thought wisely why did they act as such? I mean I did have my own thoughts but in a very NEGATIVE way as you can read above which finally will only hurt me more. If only I think POSITIVELY, like this :

-people don't reply my sms because they are running out of credit
-people don't answer my calls because they are busy
-people don't talk to me as they used to because they have more important things to be settled
-people ignore my 'buzz' in YM/Skype/FB message because they didn't realize it. They only realize my buzz after I go offline
-people don't really listen to me because they have their own problems that need to be solved
-people don't smile at me because they have other things in mind. Maybe they don't even realize that I was actually there
-my parents raise their voice at me because I did something wrong. Plus, they were busy and tired. They always tolerate with me all these while what.
-the teachers/lecturers don't have any eye contact with me while teaching because they need to focus on those who need more attention. Hello, you can't always get all the attention.

See. How totally different the situation can be. I know, sometimes the real situation is not that positive BUT,at least it hurts you less if you think positively aite? And if the situation is really not negative, we won't feel guilty that we had a negative thought on our friends/lecturers/parents. Besides, as for muslims, our religion also asks us not to think negatively on others. Right?

I think that is all I can write for now. I may be not that good in arranging my words but I do hope I've helped you in changing your way of thinking. Yes, it is definitely not easy, but certainly worth trying. ;)

Happy Father's Day Ayah!!

Assalamualaikum dear readers.

As we all know, yesterday was father's day. What did you guys do for your father to celebrate his special day? Did all of you wish him yesterday?

What? You gave him present? WOW!! That was great BUT, present is NOT everything. Yes. The most important thing is how you treat your father. Not only on his day but EVERYDAY.

We always seem to neglect our father's feeling thinking that he is not sensitive. So, it's okay not to show our care and love towards him. Well, if that is what u have been thinking all this while, I want you to know that you are WRONG. Indeed very wrong.

Mind you:
A father's heart can be way softer than a sponge cake
A father's feeling can be way more vulnerable than a jelly
A father's action can be way sweeter than an ice-cream

Yes they are. (well, you can change the stuffs that I used as the comparisons..hehe.)

As for my beloved ayah, there are millions of things and sacrifices that he had done for me from the very 1st day I was born up till now. If I were to list them down, I would need my whole life before I can finish them all. There are a lot of them that can even make me cry whenever they cross my mind. I know I can never reply any of them ayah.

Ayah, I know, there's no other thing in your mind but family. You are great, awesome, superb and the list goes on and on until there's no more positive adjectives in this world. There's no word that can ever resemble my love towards you ayah. You are the best father for me. Angah loves you so very much ayah!! muaaaaaaaahhhh... =)

Angah saaaaaayaaaaaaanggg ayah sangat sangat..;)

Numb

She does not listen before she talks
She does not think before she reacts
She does not wait before she criticizes
She has changed
A lot

She hurt them
Who love her
While she is waiting for those
Who never even care to think about her

Now she is alone
She is feeling so numb

Will You Forgive Me?

Will You forgive me
Will You accept me back
After everything the I had done

I neglected You
Trivial affairs were way more exigent than You
How atrocious can that be

I disobeyed You
Frivolous businesses were my preeminence
How dire the situation was

I was adrift
I did feel remorse
And begged You

Yet I reverted back
To the old me
I deluded You

Now
I'm back
For the umpteenth time

Will You still absolve me
After so many chances being gypped
Will You  take me in the group back?

Oh Allah
Please expiate me
Please don't leave me
For I'm losing my path
Without Your guidance

The Moment

It's that moment
When you see
That single word
The word of power
It makes everybody happy

"CONGRATULATIONS"
And you smile the whole day!
