It Won't Last Forever

Assalamualaikum and a very good day dear readers ;)

These few days, I have been observing my friends' statuses in Facebook, Twitter as well as their posts in the blogs. Some sounded happy, some angry, some were sad and there were also some that sounded as if the writers have lose their faiths. In contrary, I myself did not really update my status in any of my social networks these 2-3 days because people say, "the lesser we talk the lesser mistakes we would possibly make." Maybe you will understand what I'm talking about if you have read my previous post entitled Thank You. Honestly there were times that I felt like posting something, but considering that it might hurt the other party, I decided not to do so. And yeah..I'm quite proud with myself that I managed to do so. (Okay2, I know it's not even 1 week yet, but I least I'm trying. Kan3?? Hehehehe )

Yeay!! I made it!! xD

Now, I'm going off track. Ngeee. :)

Okay, back to the topic, reading all these made me realize something. Sometimes we worry too much about the small things that happened in our lives. Of course "we" here includes ME as well. Hehehehe. ;)

But, Prophet (S.A.W) PBUH once said that:

"The world is just like a drop of water from the ocean and the ocean is the hereafter"

See...

So, after reading this I realize that we (including me) should not get carried away with all the things that are happening in this world (be it good or be it bad). Oppsss. I am NOT asking you guys to be an ignorant. No..No..No.. What I'm trying to say here is, if something bad happens to us, we should accept it with our full heart (redha) because it won't last forever people. We will all die one day. But there, in 'akhirat', yeah that one IS INDEED EVER LASTING. In addition, "Nothing happens without Allah's permission" (At-Thagaabun 64:11). The same goes if good things happen to us. We must remember that they won't last long. So, do not forget Allah. Be grateful and act modestly because Allah S.W.T do not only test us through pain but also comfort.

I think that's all for now and I truly hope that this entry would at least help 1 or 2 of you to change your perceptions and way of thinking about life. The point is, DO NOT ever go against Allah, and you'll be safe! InsyaAllah ;)

Yes, Allah ALWAYS knows the BEST! ;)

Thank You ;)

Assalamualaikum and good evening dear readers ;)

This entry is simply written to thank you. Yes you who made me realize something. You woke me up and made me realize that I did not WALK my TALK. No, I did not. I put up a lot of hadiths and verses from Al-Quran in Facebook and Twitter yet I did not practice them. When I get emotional (especially due to political issues) I will simply write emotional statuses. You made me realize that the Prophet S.A.W (PBUH) spread his "dakwah" through a soft way that he eventually successfully soften a lot of hearts. That's how it should be. Thus, from now on, I will try not to get emotional upon any issues. InsyAllah. Because when we are emotional, we become irrational. Well, nobody would want to listen from irrational people aite? ;)

However, as a normal human being, the tendency for me to repeat my mistakes is VERY HIGH. Therefore, I would really appreciate if any of you who feel that I am doing something wrong to let me know. Sometimes I just don't realize. Do remind me dear friends. Thank You. Hugs and kisses ;)

p/s: to you-know-who-you-are : If you happen to read this, I just want you to know that AGAIN, the talk that we had last 2 days was full of benefits (at least for me). So, thanks a lot. Feel free to advise me whenever I am wrong. Love you. ;)

So teacher, are we living in a democratic country?

Assalamualaikum and good evening dear readers.

As a teacher-to-be, I always imagine all kind of weird and tough questions that my students might ask me in the future. Well, the students nowadays are very creative in asking questions you see. So I feel that I need to have early preparation. And yesterday, a question struck my mind and I truly have NO exact answer for it. So I wonder if my student will ask me the same question. How should I answer them. Below is the situation that I might face:

ME            : Okay class, today we are learning about the ruling systems in countries around
                     the world.

STUDENT : What are they teacher?

ME             : They are democracy system, autocracy system, republic system and many more.
We'll go through one by one ya?

STUDENT : Okay. So what is democracy system teacher?

ME             : Basically it is a system where the public is given full right to choose their leader
and they have an equal say in the decisions that affect their lives.

STUDENT : So what about our country teacher? Are we living in a democratic country?

ME             : .....................

Now, tell me what should I answer? Yeah right, I might simply answer "YES, WE ARE". But what if they come across the pictures below?

I have NO SAY on all of these pictures because they say a government servant or even a government servant-to-be cannot go against the government. And that's how democratic we are ;)

Hey Tiger!

STOP looking too high of yourself eh!
Hey Tiger!
You are such a liar
You are a cheater
Don't you pity your follower?

Hey Tiger!
You don't have any fear
Cause you think you are superior
And others are inferior

But
Hey you cruel Tiger!
Don't you remember
That you too have a leader
And once HE shows HIS power
You are no more than just the dusty powder

Rasulullah (SAW) said: “Allah does not punish the individuals for the sins of the community until they see the evil spreading among themselves, and while they have the power to stop it, do not do so.” (Ahmad) Ibn Taimiyyah said: “This is why those who are in authority are of two groups: the scholars and the rulers. If they are upright, the people will be upright; if they are corrupt, the people will be corrupt.”
